As all of you faithful blog followers out there know, sometimes, I have a tendency to be a bit “over-the-top.”  So, when the opportunity arose to shed some light on the upcoming Over-the-Top TV Conference (OTTCON), needless to say, I jumped at the chance! 

According to the OTTCON’s official website, the 3rd annual conference is being held March 20-21, 2012 in Santa Clara, California and is set to address the ways that “Over-the-Top TV services are already revolutionizing the way TV is delivered and consumed… in the home and on the go.  While traditional linear TV still provides the backbone of home viewing, Over-the-Top TV [represents] a fundamental shift in the future of TV consumption models, personalization, interactivity and monetization of content.”

Huh?

Basically, entertainment is in a constant state of flux, which got me thinking… what will entertainment look like in the near future?  It has changed so very much in the near past!  I mean, were you watching reality TV in the 90s?

Well, I’m sure OTTCON will address all of that and while I would love to go, a trip to the Left Coast is not in the budget right now!
